How long is the free trial?

Our free trial isn't time-limited — you can explore the platform at your own pace. Set up projects, build forms, and get a feel for how everything works before committing.

We know every team moves on a different timeline, so you only need to upgrade when you're ready to go live. Publishing submission forms requires a paid plan, but until then, your account is free to use and setup. Use Demo Mode to test out all features freely.

A couple of things to keep in mind: setting up payments is only available on paid plans, and there are some limits on users and the number of projects during the trial.

Are there any setup costs?

You can create an account for free and start building straight away, with access to our comprehensive Knowledge Base to guide you through the process.

If you're on a Growth or Pro plan, we also offer complimentary onboarding calls to help you get everything up and running smoothly — no additional fees required. Unlike some platforms, we don't charge one-off setup or onboarding costs.

Do I need to pay for each opportunity/project I want to launch?

No, within your account, you can have multiple “projects”. A project is how you launch opportunities, and you can have multiple projects within your account running simultaneously.   Let's say you want to run a new literary contest - that can be configured as a project. At the same time, you may also want to accept general submissions for your monthly edition. Want to accept resumes for an upcoming role in your team? That too could be set up as a separate project.

What if I reach the limits of my submission plan? Can I add more?

Yes! You can purchase extra submissions to add to your existing plan. To add more submissions to your account, please reach out to our support team.

Question 5

If someone purchases multiple entries to our awards, does each one count as a submission?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. If multiple entries are purchased and submitted in a single transaction, this counts as one submission.

However, if someone submits an entry and then returns later to submit another, each of those will count as separate submissions.

Question 6

Do you charge an application fee? Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No — we don't charge any application fees like some other platforms, and there are no hidden costs.

If you choose to take payments, Dapple integrates directly with your Stripe account. In that case, a standard transaction fee of 3.5% + £0.49 / $0.65 per payment applies. We cover the Stripe processing fees within this, so you don't need to worry about additional charges from Stripe.

There are no extra fees for things like storage or file uploads — what you see is what you pay. The only thing to keep in mind is that you're responsible for any local taxes on payments you receive.

I don’t know how many submissions I’ll get! Which plan should I choose?

Not to worry. Select a plan and you can always upgrade at any time or you can purchase more submissions to add to your account. To upgrade or add extra submissions to your account, please reach out to our support team.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also support payments via PayPal for added convenience.

Can I change my plan later?

We know creative work doesn't always run on a fixed schedule — you might only need Dapple for annual or semi-recurring opportunities. That's why we aim to stay flexible and avoid locking you into long-term commitments (although annual plans are available if you prefer them).
