A couple of things to keep in mind: setting up payments is only available on paid plans, and there are some limits on users and the number of projects during the trial.

Yes. If you're on a monthly plan, you can pause your subscription at any time. We've designed things this way because many organisations run opportunities on an annual, bi-annual, or ad-hoc basis and don't need an active subscription year-round. To pause your subscription, simply downgrade your account to the free plan within the platform. Your data will remain safely stored, so everything will be exactly where you left it when you're ready to reactivate.

No — there are no setup costs. You can create an account for free and start building straight away, with access to our comprehensive Knowledge Base to guide you through the process. If you're on a Growth or Pro plan, we also offer complimentary onboarding calls to help you get everything up and running smoothly — no additional fees required. Unlike some platforms, we don't charge one-off setup or onboarding costs.

No, within your account, you can have multiple “projects”. A project is how you launch opportunities, and you can have multiple projects within your account running simultaneously. Let's say you want to run a new literary contest - that can be configured as a project. At the same time, you may also want to accept general submissions for your monthly edition. Want to accept resumes for an upcoming role in your team? That too could be set up as a separate project.

Yes! You can purchase extra submissions to add to your existing plan. To add more submissions to your account, please reach out to our support team.

Not necessarily. If multiple entries are purchased and submitted in a single transaction, this counts as one submission. However, if someone submits an entry and then returns later to submit another, each of those will count as separate submissions. This is also important because some platforms charge per entry/artwork/video etc. We have a small transaction fee on payments made but we do not charge per submission. This can amount to considerable overall savings.

No — we don't charge any application fees like some other platforms, and there are no hidden costs. If you choose to take payments, Dapple integrates directly with your Stripe account. In that case, Dapple charges a small transaction fee of 2% + £0.20 / 2% + $0.25 / 2% + €0.20 per payment. This covers our own Stripe platform and payment gateway costs and helps keep our subscription prices low. Stripe's standard processing fees are charged separately by Stripe and paid by your organisation. There are no extra fees for things like storage or file uploads — what you see is what you pay. The only thing to keep in mind is that you're responsible for any local taxes on payments you receive.
