What is Dapple and who is it for?

It brings intake, review and decision-making together in one place, replacing the forms, spreadsheets and email threads most teams use today. It's used by funders, cultural institutions, universities, foundations and public-sector programmes, from small teams to multi-department organisations.
What is submission management software?
Submission management software is a platform for collecting, reviewing and deciding on applications, such as grant applications, award entries, fellowship proposals or open call submissions. It replaces the mix of online forms, spreadsheets, shared drives and email that most teams use, putting every submission, reviewer score and decision in one place with a full audit trail. Dapple adds AI that checks eligibility, summarises and tags submissions, while people make every decision.

Can I run multiple opportunities at the same time?
Yes. Dapple is built for organisations running several programmes at once, such as grant rounds, awards, fellowships or prizes. Each opportunity is its own project with its own form, stages, review rounds and deadlines, all managed from one dashboard. You can filter and tag across projects to see every live programme at a glance.
Can multiple people review submissions?
Yes. You can invite reviewers into Review Groups and run as many Review Rounds as your process needs, for example an eligibility check, then a shortlist, then a final committee. Each round has its own guidance and scoring (a rating or a weighted rubric). Reviewers only see what's assigned to them, and every score is kept as a full audit trail.
Does Dapple use AI?
Yes, but only where it helps, and people always make the decisions. Dapple's optional AI features take on the admin-heavy parts of the process: eligibility checks, summarising submissions, auto-tagging and routing each one to the right reviewers. That leaves your team and reviewers more time for the judgement calls that matter. You can also connect Dapple to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT through our MCP integration. You could then ask a question such as "How many applicants came from the North West this year?" and get back a report or chart in seconds, without exporting a spreadsheet.
Can I collect application fees, and is payment secure?
Yes. Dapple has optional built-in payments powered by Stripe, so applicants can pay as part of submitting if needed, and the money goes straight to your connected Stripe account. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the highest level of certification in the payments industry), and Dapple never stores card details.
Is Dapple secure?
Yes. Dapple runs on AWS infrastructure certified to SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3 and CSA standards, and personal data is encrypted. Single sign-on (SSO) is supported via OpenID Connect, including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and Auth0, so there are no Dapple passwords to manage. Role-based permissions control exactly who sees what across teams, admins and reviewers.
Is Dapple GDPR compliant?
Yes. Dapple handles personal data in line with UK and EU GDPR, wherever your organisation is based. Applicant data is encrypted, and it's only used to run your programmes. You stay in control of it and can export or delete it at any time. Role-based permissions mean only the right people on your team can see it. If your procurement or legal team needs one, we can provide a Data Processing Agreement.
How much does Dapple cost, and can I pause between rounds?
Dapple has three plans, Starter, Growth and Pro, priced by submission volume, users and features. There's also an Enterprise option for larger organisations. It suits businesses running several organisations under one account, or those with specific security, procurement or integration needs. You can pay monthly or save with an annual plan. Monthly plans have no lock-in, so you can pause your subscription between rounds and pick up where you left off. See pricing
